How do physiotherapy & hydrotherapy work together

We offer a range of treatments at our centre with experienced and qualified practitioners, enabling us to give your pet the best possible rehabilitation and care.  Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy treatments both complement each other and at times it is necessary for patients to receive both physiotherapy and hydrotherapy treatment which can be for a number of reasons.

Our Physiotherapists work on a range of musculoskeletal problems with manual techniques which allows our hydrotherapists to gain a more correct gait pattern and an increased muscle mass in the correct areas in a safe and controlled manor.  The combination of this multi disciplinary team helps ensure that every patient has the best rehabilitation plan to suit their needs.

Both therapies can be adapted to suit you and your dogs needs, commitment and lifestyle.  We often find that the Physiotherapy assessment (1hr) is better carried out on a separate day to their Hydrotherapy treatment but further down the line often the treatments can be combined.
